Our new Marketplace is designed to reflect the changing nature of our vendors. Over the past few years, American vendors have experienced increasing difficulty crossing the border with their goods. In addition, there are fewer Canadian vendors, especially in Ontario, who are able to attend. While we will continue to look for vendors from whom ringers can purchase various hand bell related merchandise, our aim is to host a variety of craft items as well.
We have a variety of vendors already signed up for our Marketplace – but there is still room for more! Check out our vendor list and description of their wares HERE.
If you are interested in being a vendor or know someone we should contact to be part of the 2019 Festival Marketplace, please contact Barbara Neal at (905) 812-8253 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
The silent auction at our OGEHR Festivals is always an exciting element for our ringers. While the Committee solicits businesses and tries to supply items for bidding, we look to our members to contribute as well. Here’s some ways you can help:
CORPORATE and BUSINESS GIFT CERTIFICATES
If you have a business contact willing to donate something for the silent auction table, we can provide a letter for you to give to the business, to enable them to use their contribution as a charitable donation. All proceeds from the sale of corporate and business contributions will go to OGEHR.
Is your choir interested in creating a gift basket as a fund raiser for both the choir itself and OGEHR? If so, you are encouraged to put together a gift basket for inclusion in the silent auction. Possible themes include: bath, tea, foods, bells, music, cooking, baking, sports, travel, auto, gardening, etc. The minimum suggested retail value should be $30. The basket should be delivered in ‘sale-ready’ mode, in a basket or fancy decorated box, with excelsior filler and cellophane wrap, to the auction receiving table near the Registration Desk at Fanshawe on Thursday, June 6th and clearly marked with contents, value and contributing choir. All proceeds from the sale of gift baskets will be shared 50/50 between the contributing choir and OGEHR.
If you are one of the many talented OGEHR members with hand crafting talents and skills, you are invited to donate quality hand crafted items to the silent auction. Family and friends are also welcome to contribute. Item suggestions include: handmade cards, placemats, knitted items, woodcrafts, quilts, etc. with a minimum value of $20.00. Please indicate the value/suggested price of each item. All proceeds from the sale of handmade crafts valued under $50.00 will go to OGEHR. Larger items valued over $50.00 will be shared 50/50 between the donor and OGEHR.
