It's for real, it's official, and it's here! Introducing Handbell Musicians of Canada, a nationally incorporated non-profit organization that creates community for Canadian ringers, conductors, composers, sponsors, industry partners, and supporters from coast to coast to coast.
While OGEHR fully supports Handbell Musicians of Canada, and encourages you to look at their website and become a member, please do not forget to support your own Provincial Guild.
Because Handbell Musicians of Canada (HMC) is structured and governed differently than the former Handbell Guilds of Canada, you can be part of this national body whether or not you belong to a provincial guild — HMC offers true national representation. You easily manage your own membership through the HMC website, by way of a nominal annual fee.
HMC represents Canada to the international handbell community. HMC members will have the same access to national and international events, plus connections with fellow handbell musicians across the country, and other services. Even if you are not actively involved with ringing at this time, or don’t expect to attend events, we would love for you to join and help to create and support a thriving, dynamic organization of handbell enthusiasts. Like the handbell paradigm itself, each individual is part of the greater whole, and integral to its success.
Visit our Website to learn more about HMC and the exciting future that begins here, today. The cost of membership is minimal but your participation is vital and appreciated. We encourage you to share this message widely. Directors, please make sure that all members of your choir/team receive it, and encourage them to join.
We look forward to creating this national handbell community with you!
